A Watercolour Exhibition by Pulasthi Handunge , Unchartered explores the shifting boundaries between human and animal worlds, reflecting on how urban expansion, development, and human intervention continue to reshape the landscapes we share. Drawing on the colonial notion of uncharted territories as spaces to be mapped, claimed, and exploited, the exhibition challenges the perception of nature as empty land awaiting human discovery or ownership. Through watercolour paintings, Pulasthi Handunge reveals the lives of animals inhabiting fragmented landscapes, urban fringes, and environments transformed by human activity.
