Why did I receive an email stating my event submission has been denied?

Your submissions will be denied when the event does not fall into one of our categories or dont meet brand guidelines. Some common reasons are:

  • Category mismatch: The event does not fit into either community, culture or the explore category.

  • Party or private social gathering: Events that are primarily parties, ticketed nightclub-style events, or private social-only gatherings is not what we are looking to promote.

  • Safety/legality concerns or content that violates platform policies.

Why did I receive an email stating my event submission requires additional information?

Your submissions requires additional information in order for us to review and approve the submission. Some commons issues are:

  • Date problems: The date provided is in the past or unclear

  • Location problems: The location is inaccurate or too vague

  • Image problems: Uploaded image is a poster full of text or contains essential event info that should be entered into form fields. We require a clear photo/graphic rather than an image that substitutes for form fields

  • Insufficient event description: Description doesn’t explain purpose, target audience, or what attendees should expect
