Mount Studio is pleased to present Thirumeni, our second exhibition, featuring the debut presentation of work by Ajithaman, an emerging artist and student of the Sri Ponnampalam Ramanathan Faculty of Visual and Performing Arts, University of Jaffna. In Thirumeni, Ajithaman’s photographic work is accompanied by an original sound performance by Dinelka Lyanage, creating a dialogue between image and sound. Rather than presenting the photographs as isolated works, the exhibition brings together two different forms of expression and invites viewers to experience the work through both visual and sonic encounters. The exhibition marks Ajithaman’s first solo presentation and is also Ram's first exhibition curation at Mount Studio. It reflects our interest in creating opportunities for emerging artists and bringing different artistic practices into conversation within the studio.
