An exploration of their form, their history, and where their future lies beyond just reading the written word. 🎨 Curated by Colombo-based design studio and type foundry Mooniak, this interactive exhibition maps the development of written and digital Sinhala, Tamil, and Latin letterforms in Sri Lanka. 💬 The desire to communicate and be understood is at the heart of what it is to be human, and in contemporary life, digital infrastructure underpins how we work, live, and share information. 🔎 'Akurugraphy' examines global platforms as sites of cultural negotiation, where decisions about the legibility of language carry deep consequences for who is seen, who is heard, and whose language endures. 🤝 The exhibition is supported by a generous grant from Kohler India–Initiating Partner for the Geoffrey Bawa Trust’s Exhibition Programme.
