Step into the world of traditional Sri Lankan pottery (Mati) with Miss Nalini and her husband, who have mastered this craft for over 60 years in their home in Kumbalgama, a village with a long history of pottery-making. You will see the preparing of raw clay to shaping it on the wheel and sun-drying the pieces before firing. You will get to play with making pottery and take home a piece of this living tradition that Miss Nalini has made. Please note that the pieces you make take about 3-4 weeks to fire and burn.
